Unbelievable! How do 5 adults not exhaust every effort to find a lost child as well as contact his father and or authorities that very night?! What a tragic story, with far reaching ramifications. My heart goes out to Rami.

The world can "eat you up and spit you out". It happens to lots of people every day. But all parents and grandparents worry about that when it comes to their offspring venturing off on their own. We all know what she as a witness means when she says that, but every parent worries about the general well being and welfare of their child.
Keep your wits about you. Trust your gut, your intuition, your sense of right and wrong. Be slow to trust others and quick to trust yourself. Do that and you'll be fine out there in the real world. Good luck and have fun!

Crazy ass cart witnessing!
by Crazyguy ini know i know we have all read about it but my mom goes out in service to this crazy cart witnessing crap.
so they go sit by the cart for a half hour then they get back into the car to warm up and the next two sisters take over for a half hours etc.
but then there is at least one brother siting in his car to watch and over see the sisters so he can be like their security.

A few years back, on a visit to NYC, I stayed in Brooklyn and as entered the subway station and walked down a long corridor leading to the platforms, I came across a group cart witnessing. I hadnt been active for some time, but was familiar with the practice, though I'd never actually seen it before. I thought "oh some friendly witnesses". I approached the gentleman who was sitting there and said hello, and spoke with him for a few moments. He seemed less than enthusiastic to converse with me, though. The woman near him seemed more pleasant and happy to be there. After walking away, I observed them and another group for a few minutes and they didn't seem particularly enthusiastic about what they were doing. They approached no one. Just sat there like mannequins in a window display, as the commuters passed by. In hindsight, I think the man I spoke with was surprised, almost shocked, by my approaching him. It was undoubtedly an odd situation, not the preaching work I was raised up in.

Not completely up to speed on your entire situation, but leaving home, under any circumstances, is hard. When it comes to leaving parents and grandparents, remember; they've lived their life. They were your age once. They've undoubtedly gone out and done things that they'll never tell you about, and that would probably make you blush... They've had fun, made good choices and bad. They are living the life they made now. Your life is just starting and you have every right to go out and live it. It's important to, remember, love, and care for your family, so long as they aren't causing you harm (physical or mental) always check in on them and let them know how you're doing. But don't ever let them, or anyone guilt you into not living your life!

Welcome incognito
Sounds to me that you have managed to escape the trauma of being rejected and shunned by close friends and family members.
Thank you, Vanderhoven.
I have experienced shunning, as I was disfellowshipped for almost 12 years. I will say that while I still had contact with my immediate family, who are all still very much in, it was limited contact. Not frozen out and never spoken to again, but not the happy, loving, carefree family dynamic regular families have. I am not bitter about it, as i said previously, many have had it far worse than I. I rebuilt my life. Made new family and friends, and moved forward.

Signed Up to the Forum But Didn't Receive a Confirmation Email?
by Simon inlooks like one of the apis i used to send emails changed so the confirmation emails used to verify email address ownership when people sign-up weren't working.. i've updated the code so if you signed up and never received the email to activate your account, you should be able to re-request it by going to:.
https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/account/confirm.
remember to check for spam / junk mail (just in case it's gone into there) but if anyone still has trouble activating their account, you can email me: [email protected].
